           Pigs-In-A-Blanket

                                 ©1996  (48" x 60")

Made using my string piecing techniques by machine,
broderie perse hand appliqué; hand quilted.
Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 cotton/poly blend batting.

I collected pig fabrics for awhile before deciding
what to do with them. These racing pigs were the most
fun, but I only had a fat quarter of it. There were
not too many entire pigs in the piece, so that's why
there's only half a pig running off the right side of
the quilt, and one hiding behind the sashing. People
usually react with a little giggle when they realize
that this somewhat traditional-looking quilt has pigs
running across it.
