stencilling technique, hand quilted.

I love making star quilts. When the top for this one
was laid on the bed, I realized that it needed
appliqué, but impending show deadlines wouldn't allow
me the time to do it by hand. After experimenting with
freezer paper stencilling I decided to go for it. The
entire process from idea to finished product took only
one weekend, and the results were stunning.
