Tulip Garden
©1997 (84" x 84")
(From the private collection of Jim and
Sally Thomas)
Machine pieced, hand
appliquéd, trapunto, and hand quilting
Fairfield Traditional Polyester
batting
The setting was inspired by
award-winning quilter Irma
Gail Hatcher's "10 rules for a
successful quilt."
I made this quilt with Jim
and Sally Thomas in mind, and
when I found the new sewing machine
I really, really
wanted, I sold the quilt to Jim for
Sally's Christmas
present and bought my new sewing
machine.
