Machine pieced, hand appliquéd, trapunto, and hand quilting
Fairfield Traditional Polyester batting
The setting was inspired by award-winning quilter Irma
Gail Hatcher's "10 rules for a successful quilt."
I made this quilt with Jim and Sally Thomas in mind, and
when I found the new sewing machine I really, really
wanted, I sold the quilt to Jim for Sally's Christmas
present and bought my new sewing machine.
2nd place Best Hand Quilting, IQA Quilt Festival 1997
